It’s about knowing your motivation, your behaviour, and more importantly, why you’re behaving in a certain way. It means being fully aware of your personality (including your strengths and weaknesses), your thoughts, your beliefs and your emotions.

If you are aware of yourself, it will be easier for you to understand other people and how the rest of the world perceives you. What’s more, self-awareness brings with it an enormous advantage. It creates the opportunity to make changes in your behaviour and beliefs. As you begin to explore yourself, inevitably your thoughts and personal perception will change.

This is perhaps the most difficult thing to put into practice especially if you are closed-minded or a person who does not accept the criticism that others make about you.

Remember that without correction, your weaknesses will drive you away from what you might be. Away from the best part of yourself.

Asking for feedback can be difficult, but it will help you understand more about which aspects you need to focus on both professionally and personally. This will allow you to understand how others perceive you.
